Mary Elizabeth Conners

Salem...

Mary E. (Vasilakopoulos) Conners, age 78,of Salem, died in the Rosewood Nursing Home, Peabody with her family at her side on Sunday, September 2, 2012. Born in Salem the daughter of the late William and Mary (Conway) Vasilakopoulos, she was raised and educated in St .James Grammar and High School. For many years she was employed by Sylavnia Lighting on Boston St, Salem. She was later a bartender at the Salem Moose Lodge and retired as a cashier from Stop and Shop in Peabody.

Her favorite thing to do was to be with family of any generation although she had many varied interest. She was an avid bingo player, a card player, enjoyed bowling, watching sports, her animals, as well as an auxillary member of the Salem AOH Division 18 and a member of the Salem Moose Lodge 218.

She is survived by five children Edward LeBrun and his spouse Frank Bergman of Salem, Donna and Glen Taylor of Salem, Thomas and Antoinette LeBrun of Farmington, NH, Cheryl Morin (wife of the late Paul “Mozie Morin), and Robin and Daniel DeOliviera of Beverly; an aunt Margaret Gabrielski of Salem; seven grandchildren, Thomas LeBrun Jr, Keith LeBrun, Salem Firefighter Manuel Ataide and his wife Erin, Stephen LeBrun, Matthew, Ian and Erika Conners; and her great grandchildren.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, September 8, 2012 at 11:00AM in St James Church 156 Federal St, Salem. A coalation will follow in St James Church Hall. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Interment will be private. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to a charity of their choice.
